Nutzen Sie die Möglichkeit, den Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) an der Surrey Business School der University of Surrey (UK) berufsbegleitend zu studieren.
Das DBA Studium ist auf eine Dauer von insgesamt vier Jahren angelegt. Die Gruppengröße ist auf maximal 11 Doktoranden beschränkt. Die Unterrichtssprache ist Englisch.
DBA Studium an der IBS Lippstadt - der nächste Studienbeginn ist im August 2012.
Bewerbungen sind laufend möglich. Als Doktorand ist es zudem möglich, finanzielle Förderung zu erhalten.
Bedingungen für die Aufnahme für das berufsbegleitende DBA Studium sind ein abgeschlossenes MBA- oder Master-Studium (auch FH) oder ein vergleichbarer Diplom-Abschluss, mindestens drei Jahre Berufserfahrung und Englischkenntnisse (nachweisbar z. B. durch TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC Listening and Reading und Speaking and Writing oder vergleichbar).

120 Jahre University of Surrey (UK)
Die University of Surrey (UK) ist eine im Vereinigten Königreich anerkannte staatliche Universität. Sie wurde 1891 gegründet, ist durch den Privy Council bestätigt und wird von der Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) ständig überprüft. Das Studium zum Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), das an der International Business School Lippstadt von der University of Surrey (UK) durchgeführt wird, ist durch das British Higher Education System anerkannt. Der Studienabschluss zum Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) der University of Surrey (UK) ist vom Ministerium für Innovation, Wissenschaft und Forschung des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen nach Hochschulgesetz bestätigt.
Nach Auskunft des Ministeriums und der Zentralstelle für Ausländisches Bildungswesen sowie nach Beschluss der Kultusministerkonferenz vom 21.09.2001 in der Fassung vom 15.05.2008 ist der DBA der University of Surrey (UK) als „Dr.“ vor dem Namen führbar. Die Führung der deutschen Abkürzung „Dr.“ ist für Inhaber von in einem wissenschaftlichen Promotionsverfahren erworbenen Doktorgraden aus Mitgliedstaaten der EU bzw. des EWR ohne Herkunftszusatz möglich.

Der Doctor of Business Administration soll einen wissenschaftlichen Beitrag zur Professionalisierung des Managements leisten. Die Forschungsarbeit des DBA Doctor of Business Administration trägt direkt zur Weiterentwicklung aktueller Managementtheorien bei. Forschungsthemen sind vorzugsweise aus den Arbeitsgebieten der Professoren der Surrey Business School der University of Surrey (UK) zu entnehmen.
Der DBA setzt sich aus den fünf Modulen
- Induction and Philosophical Aspects of Research,
- Quantitative Research Methodology,
- Qualitative Research Methodology,
- Critical Evaluation of Published Research,
- Research Planning and Proposal Writing,
mit Workshops und Hausarbeiten, dem Research Proposal, weiteren Forschungsseminaren zur Dissertation, Research Overview, Literature Review, Contacts and Reports to Supervisor und der Dissertation als Doktorarbeit für das DBA Studium zusammen.

Die Seminarwochenenden und die Forschungsseminare im berufsbegleitenden DBA Studium werden von den Professoren der Surrey Business School, University of Surrey, Guildford (UK), geleitet. Sie finden freitags bis sonntags in den Räumlichkeiten der International Business School Lippstadt in NRW Nordrhein-Westfalen statt. Pro Modul wird ein Seminarwochenende (Workshop) im ersten Doktorandenjahr durchgeführt.

The specific research question is:
"What are the success factors of horizontal cooperation in technical wholesale?""
The knowledge the author wants to create in this thesis will influence different strategies in the cooperating companies. Although the Josef Blässinger GmbH + Co.KG already started a cooperation with other medium-sized companies in the field of distribution, the employees do not know exactly what they did right and what they can improve. After extracting the main features the involved companies hopefully know what they can enhance. The research aim is therefore to discover the subjective interdependencies and explain human actions in and around organizations.
Given that there are a plurality of branches in technical wholesale existing, which differ considerably in different aspects, the results will have a validation in the area of drive systems and components. To answer the leading research question, the researcher wants to answer the following topics and questions:
- What factors of the cooperation seem to be the most important ones?
- How can the partners transport advantages and savings to their customers?
- How can the cooperation partners negotiate the concerns of the clients?
- Will the strengths and chances outweigh the risks and weaknesses of such cooperation?
- What are the significant differences between a full service supplier and a cooperation of different companies?
Insofar the focus of the dissertation will be to improve the processes of our cooperation.

Daniele started his career as project director and business consultant in 2002 in an international business consulting and IT organization located in Basel (Switzerland). The company’s core competence is to help customers (primarily major companies) in the realization of its main strategic initiatives and programs.
From 2003 until 2006 he was responsible for the improvement and development of group controlling of one of the leading wholesale groups in the Swiss pharmaceutical industry affiliated to PHOENIX Group (Mannheim, Germany) the second largest pharmaceutical wholesaler in Europe. During this time Daniele gained his Executive Master of Controlling at the Institute for Financial Services in Zug, subsidiary of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Lucerne (Switzerland).
Since 2006 he works as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of RAlpin ltd, a leading provider for Rolling Highway Services. Daniele started his research doctorate programme at the University of Surrey in 2008.
